TRASH ISLES

The world’s first country made of trash, the Trash Isles, has welcomed a host of new famous ambassadors to join the fight against plastic pollution in our oceans. Chris Hemsworth, Al Gore, Gal Gadot, Mark Ruffalo, Brandon Flowers, Sir Mo Farah, Jeff Goldblum, Lethal Bizzle, Ezra Miller, Pharrell Williams, Andy Serkis, Jason Momoa, Gerard Butler and Dame Judi Dench have joined the 200,000 other Trash Isles citizens by joining the mission to raise awareness of the world’s plastic waste epidemic.

Whilst the United Nations praised the Trash Isles campaign as “creative and innovative”, the organisation said the chances of it becoming a legitimate country was “nil”. However the campaign will continue, with the help of some of the world’s highest profile stars, to ignite change and reduce plastic pollution. Gal Gadot emphasised the importance of us all pulling together to make a positive difference; “Some people say that’s it’s not true. It’s very much true…. It starts with us”.

So join us to fight plastic pollution by becoming a citizen of the Trash Isles and sharing it with your mates. Plus, there are loads of simple things you can do that make a big difference; from using a refillable bottle for water to bringing your own carrier bags when you go shopping.
